Founder and General Manager
Robert founded ProLion in 2013 after he saw an opportunity to provide data integrity solutions to ONTAP file storage users. Robert is passionate about the solutions available to customers and continues to look for innovative ways to add to the ProLion portfolio, both for ONTAP and others.
Before he started ProLion, Robert held various roles within the IT industry including resellers and distribution. Most recently he was the country manager for Austria at NetApp where he enjoyed considerable success.

VP Sales – EMEA
Murat is the country manager for Germany at ProLion. In this role he is responsible for leading all aspects of sales and channels, responsible for existing and new business.
Murat has more than 15 years’ experience in IT systems, account management,and sales leadership roles. Previous companies include Deutsche Telekom, TIMAG and Proact, and this varied experience puts Murat in a good position to provide the best service to end-users, distributors, and reseller partners in his region, and is well versed in problems and solutions relevant to them, most notably their data and its protection.
VP Sales – UKI, Americas & APJ
Steve joined ProLion in 2019 and is responsible for all sales, channels, and alliance activity in the UK, Americas and APJ. Steve is highly customer and partner focused and instills this philosophy in his sales team across his territories.
Steve has extensive experience in the technology space and has a thorough understanding of customer requirements regarding data storage and its management. He has held several account director and sales leadership roles at several market-leading companies including TinTri, Commvault, SCC, and most recently NetApp.
Product Lead (Data Protection, Recovery and Analysis)
Markus heads up the development team that is responsible for bringing ProLion’s data security and recovery products to market, these being CryptoSpike, RestoreManager and DataAnalyzer.
Markus is committed to making sure ProLion products meet the needs of our customers, not only today, but also tomorrow and beyond. As threats become more sophisticated, and customer requirements change over time, he is constantly looking at ways to ensure customers retain their data integrity.
Product Lead (High Availability)
Manuel leads the product development and customer support team responsible for ProLion’s high availability products, primarily ClusterLion for NetApp MetroCluster and ClusterLion for SAP Services (HANA and SAP NetWeaver Application Servers).
Manuel and his team are dedicated to developing products that meet the ever-changing needs of customers. Always-On availability is now becoming a necessity for many customers and is no longer a “nice-to-have” feature. The development is also focused on giving customers a positive user experience backed up with the technical support customers expect.
Chris is responsible for all marketing at ProLion, including end-user, channel, and alliance activity. Specifics include demand generation, PR and AR relations,events, digital marketing, and web, all with the aim of helping customers understand the importance of data integrity – and how ProLion can protect and help customers manage their data.
Chris has over 20 years in marketing and has held various roles at industry leaders including Xerox, Panasonic, NVIDIA, Dell, Nutanix, Zebra, and most recently Veritas.
